Marachrome MC Mirror Silver, Solvent-based Screen Printing Ink for Impressive Mirror, Chrome &Metallic Effects

Component ink for mirror effects

• Marachrome MC is a press-ready, solvent-based silver bronze which - printed onto the reverse side of a substrate - achieves high-quality mirror, chrome, & metallic effects.
• Up to now, it has been possible to achieve mirror, chrome or metallic effects only by cost–intensive processes like mirror or chrome plating glass or hot foil stamping.With Marachrome MC Mirror Silver such effects can now be obtained by screenprinting.
• What distinguishes Marachrome MC Mirror Silver is not only the good opacity and mesh opening but also the mild odour. Due to its press-ready formulation a thinner addition is not necessary.
• Marachrome MC 295 is highly fade resistant and UV-stable.
• Possible substrates: Transparent synthetic materials including PMMA, polycarbonate, PETG, PETA & glass, as well as foils made of PC & coated polyester. PETG can also be overprinted with MC 295 even if the mirror effect will slightly be inferior.
• ATTN: The mirror effect is only possible by printing onto the reverse side of a transparent substrate!
• On transparent substrates, Marachrome MC has a medium opacity which is further improved by using suitable blocking layers over the entire surface.
• A wide variety of Gold, Bronze, and Metallic effects can be achieved by printing the Marastar SR or Glasfarbe GL Transparent Shades onto the first or the second surface of the substrate.
• Protective layer: For high mechanical & chemical resistance of the Mirror Silver, we recommend full surface overprinting with a blocking layer. If further metallic effects are required, the transparent shades of the ink series Marastar SR (PC, PETA,and PMMA) or Glass Ink GL (glass) can be preprinted onto either the top or reverse side of the substrate.
